Tracy Borchardt - Landscape Design Manager

22 years in the landscape design and construction industry,
Tracy brings extraordinary experience to your projects. His
innovative and creative style has earned him the MNLA
(Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association)
Environmental Improvement MERIT AWARD for Excellence
in Landscaping and was featured in Mpls/St. Paul Magazine.
Tracy was also featured on the popular Twin Cities Live
program, lending his expertise on the latest trend in outdoor
living spaces.

Tracy's favorite challenge is working with the homeowner on complex projects that involve multiple media, like hardscaping with water and plant features, especially when he can work with a space that is in great disrepair and completely transform it into a spectacular well-used living area. Tracy holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Architectural
Technology and a diploma in Landscape Horticulture and is valued for his experience, knowledge, creativity, and professionalism.

John Hulburt - Sr. Landscape Designer

With 30 plus years experience in the nursery and landscaping industry, John approaches every project
with an attentive ear to the customer's need.

John is well versed in all forms of landscape styles and knows how to apply just the right design element to
each one. He is especially passionate about creating naturalistic landscape settings such as outcroppings, water features and the tumbled stone look for walls and patios. His colorful plantings will typically reflect his
belief in building year-round interest in plant schemes.

John is a member of the Minnesota State Horticultural Society and is active in the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA). He is also the recipient of an ACMA design award and was recently, commissioned by the City of Eagan to design the new Veterans Memorial which is now complete.

John holds a degree in graphic communications and has attended both Hennepin Technical College and Dakota County Technical College for Business Management and Landscape Design. He has also performed independent plant research study at the University of Minnesota.

Tyan Grundstrom - Landscape Designer

Tyan's deep fascination with plants, their beauty,
colors, and ability to transform our environment makes
her a natural fit for the Halla Nursery landscaping
department. A recent graduate of Hennepin Technical
College, Tyan brings a fresh perspective on the latest
in landscaping, designing and related technologies. With
a certificate in Floral Design and degrees in Horticulture
Landscape Design, Construction, and soon, Urban
Forestry, Tyan's well-rounded background will go a long
way in helping you discover what you need to transform
your outdoor living space.

I have worked with Tyan on setting up designs around our property and was struck by her keen design sense. One look at the space and she could already envision what needed to be done! I loved her ideas!
